Stopping to say hello in Maine's Acadia State Park
I love exploring, traveling, and doing anything in nature: hiking, biking, swimming, and kayaking. I travel both locally and internationally a few times a year, and I'm looking forward to sharing the beauty of nature and the excitement of seeing a new place with your child.

Cyril, my friends Nicole and Jon's son, is all smiles.
I can imagine that this is a challenging time, as you figure out what makes the most sense for you and your baby. I hope as you get to know me, you will see that I am committed to making sure your child has the best opportunities, in a home full of love, laughter, joy, and support. I have the emotional and financial means to provide a child with a happy, fulfilling, wonderful life, and I would devote myself entirely to him or her and be a stay-at-home mom.
My greatest dream is to be a mom, and I am so excited to adopt. My original life plan was to meet a man, fall in love, and have a baby—but life never does go quite as we plan. I tried to get pregnant and was unable to do so, and I would be so grateful for the chance to be a parent and devote myself to a child. I have a happy, financially secure life, a large group of friends, many of whom have children, and a supportive family, and they are all excited for me to adopt and will embrace your child with open arms.
I am looking forward to sharing my passion for the world with your child, and I would be happy to have as open an adoption as you would like. I will make sure that your child is proud of his or her roots, and that he or she is always loved unconditionally.
Thank you for reading, and I hope to hear from you.
With Love,
Elizabeth

My dad is quite youthful and in good health. We are close and see each other once a week and talk on the phone several times a week. He is practical, thoughtful, has a good sense of humor, is playful with children, and is eager to help instantly.
Inge loves my dad very much, and they are very happy together. She loves babies and children and is enthusiastic about helping people. She cooks delicious food from scratch and goes out of her way to try to make everyone happy and provide what they need. She and my Dad will dote on your child.
Inge's daughter, son-in-law, and three grandchildren live in Switzerland about 15 minutes from Inge's home in Germany. They're very nice and warm, and Inge's grandchildren are the main reason she continues to go back and forth to Germany.

I like to give back by teaching and volunteering. I write and spend a few hours a week teaching creative writing and volunteering in a women's jail, an elementary school, and a senior citizen center. My students find writing therapeutic and freeing, and I love hearing their ideas and helping them develop their work.
I have the resources to put all this aside and be a full-time mom. I also have the resources to send your child to great schools where he or she can flourish. The school I attended nurtured my creativity and had small class sizes with an emphasis on the arts, critical thinking skills, lots of individualized attention from caring and highly trained teachers, and a great track record for sending students to top colleges.

I want your child to experience many of my favorite moments: dogsledding in Sweden, spotting dolphins and whales in Hawaii, hiking in Iceland, feeding wallabies in Australia, snorkeling in Culebra, biking in the Everglades, canoeing in the Adirondacks, seeing street art in Berlin, swimming in the sea in Greece and Italy, and eating delicious tapas in Spain.
Reading and writing are other passions, and I love reading to kids and will always read to your child. I grew up surrounded by books and now my home is filled with books for both adults and children.

My Dad and his girlfriend Inge
My dad and his girlfriend, Inge, have a beautiful love story. They met 55 years ago in Germany, where Inge lived and my dad was stationed as a military police officer. They stayed in touch through the years, and after Inge's husband died and my mom died, they reunited and have been dating for 7 years. Inge has a daughter and three grandchildren and is looking forward to more!

I have a Bachelors Degree and two Masters Degrees, and I have been an educator for many years. I became a creative writing teacher because I love children, wanted to work with children and love creative writing. I am very lucky to have financial security from family money so that I can dedicate myself to your child as a full-time mom, and your child can attend an excellent school, college, and graduate school.

My friend Brianna and her husband Elliot and their daughter Josephine are like family to me. Brianna and I have been close friends for 14 years, ever since we met through a hiking group. Four years ago, she gave birth to her daughter, and I was honored to be in the delivery room during her labor. I got to meet Josephine when she was just born, and I have seen her grow from an infant to a bright, curious child.

Reading with Matilda, my friend Veronika's daughter
We own a family country house less than a two hour drive away in peaceful Hudson Valley, where I spend lots of time outdoors swimming, biking, and hiking. I have been going to our summer home since I was a baby, and I learned to swim in a lake down the road. Recently, my mom's friend Mary Pat had a bonfire party for all of her friends and their kids and grandchildren. I still love making s'mores!

A Trip to St. Lucia
Manhattan is a magical place to grow up with unlimited opportunities. I own my home, which is sunny and filled with books and plants, and has another bedroom just waiting for a child. My neighborhood is one of the best in New York City, very safe and in a wonderful school district.
My friends are extremely important to me, and I see them often. Usually, I do something social every day--whether it's getting dinner or cooking together, or going for a walk or bike ride in the park. Many of my friends have children, and all are excited for me to adopt!
I’m affectionately known to my friends’ children as “Auntie Fizzy” (Fizzy was a high school nickname that came from Lizzy). I take such joy in spending quality time with them, playing with Legos, swimming with them in the pool, camping, hiking, bicycling and canoeing with them, and of course playing in every playground within walking distance!

I hope to be a mom like my mom, who sadly passed away ten years ago. She was a very successful publisher and literary agent who worked on some of the most famous authors. She was so supportive, encouraging and protective. She would drop everything if I needed her. When my guinea pig died and I called her at work, she promptly left an important business meeting to run home for the "family emergency." She cooked every night and we ate together as a family.
Encouraging of all my creative pursuits, she fought to get me into a wonderful progressive school that she knew would nurture my creativity. She paid for camp and art, writing, swimming, and horseback riding and was incredibly proud of me. She said that aside from my dad, I was the best thing that ever happened to her. My mom had a beaming smile, and I felt like she was singing Hallelujah when I walked in a room. I will make your child feel that way too.
In my neighborhood, there are many playgrounds, supermarkets (including Trader Joe's), restaurants, and parks. Nearby is a bicycle path along the Hudson River and a community pool where I swim in the summer with my friends and their kids. There are a lot of families in my neighborhood, and there is a large garden for everyone to share. Children draw with colored chalk on the step stones there, and families gather for food and playtime. My dad and his longtime girlfriend, Inge, live nearby and have a beautiful view of Central Park and the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade.

Charlie and Jameson were friendly with each other almost right away. I am told that this kind of relationship between two unrelated cats is very rare, so I feel extremely lucky. They snuggle with each other and with me every day.
Charlie and Jameson are best friends
The day I brought Jameson home, he jumped up on the sofa with me, stretched out over my stomach, and fell asleep! So we bonded right away. He always trots to the door and greets me when I come home.
